Planning Consultants Foynes Port

HRA PLANNING have successfully assisted Shannon Foynes Port Company (SFPC) in securing the compulsory acquisition of lands for future port development at Foynes, Co. Limerick.

An Bord Pleanála today made the decision authorising the compulsory acquisition of lands by the Port Company under the Harbours Amendment Act 2009 and the Planning and Development Acts for the purpose of ensuring the implementation of its harbour expansion scheme.

HRA PLANNING were retained by the Port Company to provide and advance a planning case for the acquisition proposal, to make the application to An Bord Pleanála and to present and defend the merits of the proposal at the Oral Hearing.  The scheme for harbour expansion is based on the SFPC Masterplan Document ‘Vision 2041’ prepared by HRA PLANNING in 2013.
