Director of HRA PLANNING Mary Hughes has been appointed by Minister of the Environment Community and Local Government Alan Kelly to the external review group to undertake the independent review of An Bord Pleanála.
Currently President of the Irish Planning Institute, Mary is part of the four member group tasked with compiling a report and making recommendations to the Minister to support the Board in its operations, with a view to ensuring that it is appropriately positioned and fit for purpose from an organisational perspective. It is the first such review since the establishment of the Board in 1976.
