A strategic masterplan vision strategy prepared on behalf of Shannon Foynes Port Company setting out the commercial requirements and spatial objectives for all their facilities on the Shannon Estuary between Limerick City and Loop head an area stretching 100km.
The approach included spatial and commercial analysis, port planning, strategic environmental assessment and integration with other plans and strategies to support future port development.
When formally launched in February 2013, Minister for Transport Leo Varadkar said Shannon Foynes is an important asset for the southwest of Ireland and he welcomed the company’s goal to attract significant international investment.
