Natura Impact Statement satisfies planning requirements

HRA PLANNING contributed to planning permission being secured this week for the construction of a new 2 storey club house and pontoons on the banks of the River Shannon, Co. Limerick.  Despite the location of the project within a Special Area of Conversation  (SAC),  HRA PLANNING were able to demonstrate – through Natura Impact Screening assessment (pursant to the obligations transposed from Article 6 of the Habitats Directive) – that the project would not result in significant adverse effects to the Natura 2000 network.

This result reflects the legal and technical understanding by HRA PLANNING of the Habitats Directive and the environmental assessment proceedures that must be adopted by development projects in sensitive environments.
