HRA PLANNING leading in Appropriate Assessment in 2014

Appropriate Assessment HRA PLANNING HRA PLANNING is continuing the implementation of their robust approach to Appropriate Assessment in a number of current projects in 2014.    The approach will build upon the successful methodology, asessment and reporting employed in 2013 and which was accepted by various local authorities  and by An Bord Pleanála in determination of various types of  development projects within and adjacent to sensitive (EU) designated Natura 2000 sites under the Planning Act.

Our integrated planning and ecological skills provided robust ecological assessment of and design mitigation to negate the potential implications of development on the integrity of designated sites.   These development projects included commercial, residential, industrial, energy and recreational activities within and adjacent to sensitive coastal, aquatic and terrestrial habitats including inland rivers, the Shannon Estuary, Lough Derg and the Cabra Wetlands to name but some.
